The B-28 racing boat made its public debut at the 1994 Miami Boat Show, and immediately made an impact with its extraordinary design. The racing boat is powered by a VOLVO PENTA Z-drive unit rated at 365 BHP, giving a top speed of up to 85 kn (157 km/hr). However, it was not just the overall design of the boat that was new; the two steps on the underside of the hull were also an innovation in boats of this class. The two steps draw in air under the hull, and contribute to a substantial reduction in the boat`s skin friction. The model shares this characteristic in full. With the recommended power system the model is capable of a remarkable speed for its size.
